Approach People Recruitment is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor for a major construction project in Limerick. You will promote a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with Irish regulations, and support site management in delivering high safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in EHS roles, a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent, and strong communication and organisational skills to work with site teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent qualification (essential).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an EHS or Health & Safety role, ideally within construction or engineering.
• Good understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and site safety requirements.
• Experience preparing or reviewing RAMS and conducting site inspections.

Responsabilités

• Implement and maintain health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and management systems across the project site.
• Support site management in preparing and reviewing RAMS and Safe Plans of Action.
• Provide practical health and safety advice to management, employees and subcontractors.
• Deliver health and safety inductions to new employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure equipment inspections, testing and certification comply with statutory and organisational requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments, reporting findings to management.
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, ensuring accurate reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate and monitor mandatory safety training, including Manual Handling, Working at Height and Abrasive Wheel training.
• Maintain accurate health and safety documentation, records and compliance reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across site operations.
