Job summary

Kids Inc. is hiring a Part-Time Term-Time Manager for the St. Andrew's NS, Bray service for the 2026/2027 term. This role focuses on overseeing afterschool operations, supporting a caring, safe environment for children after school hours, and coordinating program activities.

You will lead a small team, organise weekly plans, and ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulations. Garda Vetting and references will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' professional experience working with children.
• Previous management or supervisory experience in childcare/educational settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience training or mentoring team members.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• A relevant childcare or teaching qualification is desirable.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

About the Role

Our Afterschool programme provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging home-from-home environment where children can relax, complete their homework, and take part in a wide range of fun and enriching activities at the end of the school day.

As a Centre Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operation of the service, supporting your team, and ensuring children receive the highest standard of care in a positive and inclusive environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the day-to-day operation of the Afterschool service, including administration and record keeping
• Organising weekly programmes and activities in line with company guidelines
• Leading, supporting, and motivating team members to deliver a high-quality service
• Delegating responsibilities and ensuring staff are fully informed of weekly plans and expectations
• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and creative development
• Building positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and colleagues
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years' professional experience working with children
• Previous management or supervisory experience in a childcare, educational, or related setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting, training, or mentoring team members
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• A relevant childcare or teaching qualification is desirable
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting and reference checks
