Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: Robotics Engineer

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Role & Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a talented Robotics Engineer to design, develop, and deploy robotic systems that integrate mechanical design, electronics, and intelligent software.
    We are seeking an Integrator to lead the bridge between development, design and deployment, ensuring that external automated systems, control system, robot, PLC, and vision systems talk to each other seamlessly to create a unified product.
  • Design, develop, and test robotic systems and subsystems
  • Develop control algorithms for robotic manipulation, mobility, and navigation
  • Implement robotics software using correct frameworks
  • Integrate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs, force sensors) and actuators
  • Develop perception and computer vision pipelines
  • Simulate robotic systems using tools like Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Webots
  • Work with embedded systems and real-time control platforms
  • Conduct system testing, debugging, and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams
  • Document designs, experiments, and technical decisions
Required Qualifications & Key Skills:
  • Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
  • 3+ years experience in a hands-on R&D, design & integration role.
  • PLCs – knowledge of Schneider EcoStruxure Machine Expert – Basic ladder logic or similar.
  • Knowledge of, Control systems, Kinematics and dynamics, Motion planning & Sensor fusion
  • Experience with Linux development environments
  • PLCs – knowledge of Schneider EcoStruxure Machine Expert – Basic ladder logic or similar.
  • HMIs – knowledge of Schneider HMIs, EcoStruxure Operator terminal Expert or similar
  • Programming: Configure robotic systems from major manufacturers such as KUKA (KUKA Robot Language (KRL)
  • Programming: C# (Control system)
  • Practical with a hands-on, safety-first approach
  • Knowledge of all the relevant standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to debug complex hardware/software interactions
  • Systems thinking and multidisciplinary engineering approach
  • Clear technical communication and documentation
  • Team collaboration in fast-paced environment.
  • LiDAR & IMSs, Python, C++, PyTorch / TensorFlow
  • MATLAB or Simulink
