Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Tralee is looking for a MIG Welding Robotic Operator/Programmer. You will be responsible for setting up and operating robotic MIG welding cells, training new operators, and implementing design changes to enhance production quality. The ideal candidate will have essential experience in MIG welding processes and a background in manufacturing or mechanical engineering. Competitive salary offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding processes is essential.
• A knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical engineering is essential.
• An apprenticeship or third level qualification in manufacturing or welding qualification is desirable.
• An apprenticeship or third level qualification in manufacturing or welding qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate robotic MIG welding cells.
• Support the training of new operators, troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Recommend design changes to improve quality and productivity.
• Recommend design changes as required to improve quality, reliability, and productivity of welding processes.
• Develop in conjunction with the manufacturing team the weld drawings and weld matrices

MIG Welding Robotic Operator/Programmer

• Set up and operate robotic MIG welding cells, ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with the production output targets
• Adjust and set/program the welding cell to specification as required
• Support the training of new operators, troubleshooting and repair of robotic welding equipment as required
• Recommend design changes as required to improve quality, reliability, and productivity of welding processes.
• Develop in conjunction with the manufacturing team the weld drawings and weld matrices

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding processes is essential

• Experience with MIG welding processes and robotic applications is desirable
