Job summary

The Panel in Dublin seeks a Designated Person Support to bolster its risk oversight across fund risk, liquidity, and regulatory reporting. You will support the Designated Persons for Fund Risk and Operational Risk, handling risk data, exceptions, and governance papers.

The role requires 2–5 years in fund risk/oversight, strong Excel and data skills, and a degree in finance or related fields. Knowledge of UCITS risk, CP86, and EMIR/DORA is an advantage. Irish work rights are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years’ experience in a risk or oversight role at a ManCo, fund administrator, depositary, asset manager, or an audit or advisory practice serving funds.
• Working knowledge of UCITS risk management, including global exposure (commitment and VaR), liquidity and counterparty risk.
• Understanding of operational risk frameworks and the CBI’s Fund Management Companies Guidance (CP86).
• Strong Excel and data skills, and the ability to write clear papers for committees and boards.
• A degree in finance, economics, mathematics, business or a related discipline, and the right to work in Ireland.
• ETF, derivatives or securities lending experience, exposure to EMIR or DORA, and Python, SQL, Power BI or Bloomberg skills are all an advantage.
• Progress towards FRM, CFA or ACCA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor UCITS risk metrics and investigate exceptions.
• Run and document liquidity risk monitoring and stress testing.
• Monitor counterparty and collateral exposures for derivatives and securities lending.
• Reconcile EMIR reporting and follow up exceptions with delegates.
• Help maintain risk management process documentation and develop risk systems and data.
• Maintain the risk register, KRIs and risk and control self-assessments.
• Prepare the Designated Persons’ risk reports and papers for the Risk Committee and Board.
• Support regulatory reporting and respond to internal, auditor and regulatory requests.
