Job summary

An undisclosed global asset manager in Dublin seeks a senior Risk professional to lead the Fund Risk Management function. You will ensure CP86, UCITS and AIFMD compliance while overseeing investment, liquidity, credit and counterparty risk across funds.

The role requires strong fund risk experience, and familiarity with Aladdin, FactSet or Bloomberg. IT skills in Python or R and experience with alternative investments are advantageous. This is a Dublin-based, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Extensive fund risk management experience and oversight.
• Deep knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD and CP86 requirements.
• Proficiency in VaR, stress testing and tracking error analysis.
• Experience challenging investment managers and teams.
• Familiarity with Aladdin, FactSet and Bloomberg risk reporting tools.
• Nice to have Python or R experience and knowledge of alternative investments.
• PCF suitability under Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Fund Risk Management Function for the funds.
• Ensure compliance with CP86, UCITS and AIFMD requirements.
• Provide oversight of investment, liquidity, credit and counterparty risks.
• Engage with investment managers to validate risk assessments.

I'm partnering with a global asset manager that is a market leader in both public and private investment strategies. They have engaged us to source a Designated Person for Fund Risk (PCF-39C) to join their Dublin team.

In this role you will oversee the Fund Risk Management Function, ensuring compliance with CP86, UCITS and AIFMD requirements while providing effective oversight of investment, liquidity, credit and counterparty risks across a range of funds.

Key requirements:

• Strong investment management and fund risk experience
• Deep knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD and CP86
• Expertise in VaR, stress testing, tracking error and other risk metrics
• Experience engaging with and challenging investment managers
• Familiarity with Aladdin, FactSet, Bloomberg and/or risk reporting tools
• Alternative Investments and Python/R experience are advantageous.
• PCF suitability under Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity requirements
