Job summary

Allied Irish Banks invites high-potential graduates to join its Risk Graduate Analyst Programme, a 23-month contract across two risk streams. You will rotate through Compliance, Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk, and more, gaining exposure to diverse projects and senior leaders.

You’ll be supported by a People Leader, participate in a robust development plan, and have opportunities to pursue CFA/FRM/QFA qualifications while building a professional network within a dynamic bank.

• Minimum 2.1 Honours Degree; eligibility to work in Ireland for the full duration of the 23‑month contract.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

We are currently looking for candidates interested in a career in the Risk function of the bank.

Our Risk Graduate Programme will have 2 dynamic streams that the graduates will rotate within a few times. This will allow graduates to gain a breadth of experience across AIB’s Risk Department.

The following are examples of areas that previous graduates have completed their rotations in:

Business Stream:Compliance, Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk, Financial Risk, IRB Enterprise Programme, Operational Risk, Risk Assurance and Validation, and Technology & Transformation

Courses aligned to these areas:Business Studies, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Management and related degree courses with a strong business and finance content.

Technical Stream:Credit Risk, Enterprise Risk, Financial Risk, Risk Assurance and Validation, Technology & Transformation and Risk Analytics

Courses aligned to these areas:Mathematics, Data Science/Analytics, Science, Computer Science, Physics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering and related degree courses with a strong mathematical content.

Entry Requirements:

Achieved or expected to achieve a minimum 2.1 Honours Degree (or equivalent for universities outside of Ireland) is a prerequisite for those joining the AIB graduate programme.

Candidates must be fully authorised to work in Ireland or hold a valid work permit for the full duration of the 23-month contract (September 2027 – August 2029).
