Job summary

Allied Irish Banks (AIB) invites high‑calibre graduates to join its Capital Markets Graduate Programme in Ireland. Over 23 months you’ll rotate across teams, work with corporate, institutional and private banking customers, and contribute to financing solutions that help businesses grow.

You’ll learn on the job, gain exposure to senior leaders, and pursue qualifications such as QFA, CFA or CIMA with study leave.

• Fully authorised to work in Ireland for the full duration of the programme (Sept 2027–Aug 2029)
• Interest in Capital Markets and banking careers welcome

What You’ll Do

Capital Markets serves AIB's large and medium-sized business customers as well as our private banking customers. We take a partnership approach, delivering customer-focused financing solutions and specialised products that help businesses grow, invest and achieve their ambitions.

As a Capital Markets Graduate, you'll contribute to financing solutions that help businesses expand, invest, create jobs and transition to a more sustainable future. You'll gain exposure to complex transactions and strategic client relationships from the very beginning of your career.

You will;

Support the assessment of lending and financing opportunities

Analyse financial information and market trends

Assist with customer relationship management and business development activities

Contribute to credit and risk assessment processes

Support transactions across a range of industries and sectors

Work with colleagues across lending, product, portfolio and customer teams

Entry Requirements:

Achieved or expected to achieve a minimum 2.1 Honours Degree (or equivalent for universities outside of Ireland)

Fully authorised to work in Ireland or hold a valid work permit for the full duration of the 23 ‑ month contract (September 2027 – August 2029)
