Job summary

Weltec Engineering Ltd. in Ireland seeks an experienced Rigid Truck Driver to join our engineering team. You will safely transport materials and equipment to sites and assist with general site and workshop activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Full Irish driving licence – Category C and a valid Safe Pass with manual handling. You will work on construction, engineering, industrial, or logistics projects, prioritising safety and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Full Irish driving licence – Category C is required.
• Valid Safe Pass and manual handling training.
• Experience operating rigid trucks within construction/engineering/industrial or logistics environments.
• Strong awareness of safety and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company rigid truck (Category C) transporting M&E materials, tools, plant, and equipment to and from construction sites, suppliers, and depots.
• Carry out local and regional driving in accordance with road traffic laws.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures.
• Secure loads correctly and ensure compliance with load restraint and weight regulations.
• Maintain delivery documentation, tachograph records, and basic transport paperwork.
• Load and unload materials manually or using mechanical aids.
• Assist mechanical and electrical teams with general site support duties.
• Distribute materials, pipework, containment, and equipment on active construction sites.
• Follow site-specific health, safety, and environmental procedures always.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment in vehicles, workshops, and on site.
• Represent the company professionally when attending client sites.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Rigid Truck Driver to join our team.

The Rigid Truck Driver supports M&E engineering operations by safely transporting materials and equipment to sites using a company vehicle. The role also involves assisting with general construction site and workshop activities to ensure projects run efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Safely operate a company rigid truck (Category C) transporting M&E materials, tools, plant, and equipment to and from construction sites, suppliers, and depots
• Carry out local and regional driving in accordance with road traffic laws.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures
