Job summary

Avonmore Electrical Co. Ltd is seeking a reliable Rigid Truck Driver to join our team in Ireland. Your main task is to transport materials, equipment and plant using the company rigid truck, while supporting site, workshop and operations as needed.

You will drive vans and cars as required, perform daily checks, ensure load securing, and maintain safety and documentation. The role offers training opportunities and a path to broader responsibilities within our logistics and operations teams across

Qualifications

• Full, clean Category C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of road transport regulations and load securing.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to undertake varied driving and operational duties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational, communication and time-management skills.
• HIAB licence or operating experience is an advantage.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate the company rigid truck safely and in compliance with road transport legislation.
• Drive company vans and cars when required to support business operations.
• Deliver and collect materials, tools, equipment and plant from customer sites and suppliers.
• Load, secure and unload goods safely, using lifting equipment where trained and authorised.
• Complete daily vehicle walk-around checks and report defects promptly.
• Keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and properly maintained.
• Complete delivery records, tachograph records and all other required documentation.
• Assist site, workshop and stores teams with general and ad hoc duties when not driving.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and site rules.

Flexible Driving & General Operative RoleMain focus: Operating a rigid truck safely and efficiently. The successful candidate must also be flexible and willing to drive company vans and cars and assist with ad hoc operational duties when required.Avonmore Electrical Co. Ltd. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Rigid Truck Driver to join our team. For more than 65 years, we have supported organisations across Ireland with electromechanical repairs, machinery maintenance and installation services.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be the safe and timely transport of materials, equipment and plant using the company rigid truck. This is a varied role, and you will also be expected to drive other company vehicles and support site, workshop and operational teams as needed.
