Job summary

REED RECRUITMENT is seeking a Rigid Truck Driver for a client in Dublin West, Republic of Ireland. You will operate commercial vehicles to collect and deliver goods, ensuring vehicle safety and adherence to regulations.

You should hold a Class C driving license with up to 6 points, CPC, and a Tachograph card. Safe Pass is advantageous and training can be provided; strong geographical knowledge is a plus.

• Minimum Class C driving license with no more than 6 points.
• CPC certification is required.

• Safe Pass is advantageous; training can be provided.
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before journeys and manage loading/unloading and securing loads.
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant.
• Visit customer sites and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Comply with legal and company safety requirements and working time directive regulations at all times.

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of a rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented Rigid Driverto join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Load and unload rental, electrical and powered access equipment including heavy plant
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time

About You

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of class C driving license - with no more than 6 points
• CPC Certified
• Tachograph card
• Safe Pass is advantageous, however training can be provided
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable)
