Job summary

Shaws Department Stores in Limerick is expanding its management team and is currently recruiting a dynamic and motivated Team Leader to join the store. This full-time position requires availability five days a week on a 7-day roster, including Sundays.

As Team Leader you will guide and motivate a team of retail assistants to deliver exceptional service, drive sales and maintain high store standards. You will also collaborate with senior managers on space planning, merchandising and stock control

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' supervisory or leadership experience in retail.
• Strong customer service excellence and lead-by-example.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and quick decision-making.
• Ability to manage stock levels and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a dynamic team to hit store targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
• Drive sales performance and seize sales opportunities.
• Develop and train the team in product knowledge.
• Maintain high store standards and visual appeal.
• Collaborate with Head of Space Planning & Visual Merchandising.
• Keep track of stock and conduct regular stocktakes.
• Oversee cash handling procedures daily.
• Coach staff on proper cash handling and procedures.
• Act as key holder for opening/closing the store.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support recruitment, training and development.
• Stay updated with employment legislation.
• Conduct annual performance reviews.
