Vienna Woods Hotel in Cork’s Glanmire area seeks an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the restaurant team and oversee daily dining operations. You will work with the Head Chef and Food & Beverage teams to maintain high service standards and ensure a memorable guest experience.

The role focuses on staff leadership, rota planning, stock control, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Formación

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
• A genuine passion for food, beverage and delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, manage and develop a team.
• Excellent knowledge of restaurant operations and food and beverage service.
• A good understanding of food safety, hygiene and health and safety regulations.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work closely with kitchen, bar and wider hotel teams.
• Experience with staff scheduling, stock control, ordering and cost management.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
• A relevant hospitality qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Lead, motivate and support the restaurant team, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
• Maintain consistently high standards of service and restaurant presentation.
• Ensure guests receive a warm welcome and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team on menus, daily specials and service requirements.
• Manage staff rotas, scheduling, training and performance development.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve any service related issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Monitor stock levels, manage ordering and assist with cost control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety and hygiene regulations.
• Coordinate restaurant service for private dining, functions and hotel events when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve service standards and enhance the overall guest experience.
