Job summary

Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead the L’Escale Restaurant and drive exceptional guest experiences. You will manage the Food & Beverage team, ensure service excellence, and uphold the hotel’s quality standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience at Manager level in a similar Food & Beverage environment.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent communication, organisation and people management skills.
• Ability to train new and existing staff.
• Solid knowledge of Food & Beverage and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Day to day running of the Restaurant.
• Lead a team of Food & Beverage Assistants, Supervisors and Assistant Managers.
• Take every opportunity to maximise revenue.
• Meeting & greeting guests.
• Exceeding customer service expectations at all levels.
• Responsible for day-to-day queries, complaints and issues in the Restaurant.
• Maintain high standards of detail at every level.
• HACCP controls.
• Maintain and audit hygiene levels.
• Maintain and audit food quality levels with Chef.
• Ensure cash/vouchers and all payments are handled securely.
• Management of rosters.
• Performance management.
• Recruitment and selection.

An exciting opportunity now exists for an ambitious Restaurant Manager to join our lovely team here at Hodson Bay Hotel.

As part of the Hotel Management team you will be responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day operations of the Restaurant whilst ensuring our guests have a positive experience. You will lead and motivate the Food & Beverage Team to deliver outstanding levels of service.

Requirements

• A Minimum of 2 years experience at Manager level in a similar environment
• Possess Strong Leadership qualities
• Excellent communication, organisation & people management skills
• Ability to train new & existing staff
• Have an excellent knowledge of Food and Beverage & a strong eye for detail
• Possess the ability to perform under pressure & be proficient in spoken & written English
• Availability to work 5 over 7 days for both opening and closing shifts
