Job summary

Hawksmoor Dublin is seeking a friendly Restaurant Host to welcome guests, manage reservations and guide the seating flow to ensure smooth service. This role is hands-on and central to delivering warm hospitality from the moment guests arrive.

You will work closely with the floor team, communicating effectively with managers and kitchen staff. Full training is provided, and previous hospitality experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, confident and great with people.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Organised, calm and able to think on your feet.
• Reliable team player who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
• Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is helpful but not essential, full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists during service.
• Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant to support smooth service.
• Oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals during busy periods.
• Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen.
• Support the floor team by helping set and reset tables and assist service when needed.
• Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone and email with care and professionalism.
