Job summary

Autism A Chara (formerly Autism Initiatives Ireland CLG) in Naas, Co. Kildare, is seeking a Support Worker for its respite service. The role is 39 hours per week, with shifts on a rota basis to cover days, evenings, weekends and waking night duty shifts.

A QQI Level 5 in Health Care is essential, along with a good understanding of person-centred support for people with complex needs. Full, clean Irish driving licence is desirable to support vehicle duties, and the candidate must have permission

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification required.
• Passion for person-centred support and care.
• Ability to work within a rota, including evenings/weekends/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to residents in respite services.
• Assist with daily living activities and programme planning.
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with service users and team.
