Job summary

Autism A Chara (formerly Autism Initiatives Ireland CLG) is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our residential team in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin.

The role involves person-centred support for residents with complex needs, with a 39-hour week and a rota that includes evenings and weekends. Applicants should hold a QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification and possess a genuine passion for person-centred care.

Qualifications

• A full QQI level 5 Health Care qualification is essential.
• Passion for providing person-centred support to people with complex needs is key.
• Must be capable of working shifts on a rota including evenings, weekends and waking night duty shifts.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the person’s needs, preferences and goals.
• Adapt communication to suit individual needs and promote independence.
• Assist with daily living activities and routines in a residential setting.
• Support the person to engage with their local community and activities.
• Contribute to person-centred planning and review processes.
