Job summary

Autism A Chara is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred support to adults across residential, respite, day services in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. The role requires full commitment to rota shifts, including evenings, weekends and some night duties.

Applicants should have QQI Level 5 Health Care and demonstrate strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently as part of a compassionate team.

Qualifications

QQI Level 5 Health Care qualification is essential.
A genuine passion for providing person-centred support is key.
Able to work shifts on a rota including evenings, weekends and night duty.

Responsibilities

Learn about the person: needs and priorities.
Adapt communication to suit individual needs.
Be engaging, patient and kind while supporting daily living tasks.
Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
Support community engagement and participation.
Help the person learn new skills and understand rights.
