Job summary

Deutsche Bahn is seeking a site-based Civil Engineering professional to provide supervision and oversee project delivery in Ireland. You will monitor construction activities, ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards, and support teams coordinating contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation review, risk escalation, and participation in testing, handover and close-out activities across complex civil projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in construction supervision or site engineering on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of construction processes, QA, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-based engineering and construction supervision during project delivery.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract requirements, specs, quality standards and regulations.
• Support project teams in coordinating contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Assist in health, safety, environmental and quality requirements on site.

Responsibilities:

• Provide site-based engineering and construction supervision services during project delivery.

• Support project teams in coordinating contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in construction supervision, site engineering, or project delivery within infrastructure, transportation, rail, utilities, or major civil engineering projects.
• Understanding of construction processes, quality assurance, and contract administration.
• Familiarity and experience with NEC contracts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience with safety management within construction environments.
• Experience of working in operational railway environments/possessions is desirable.
• Relevant HSE training or site safety certifications are beneficial but can be obtained following discussion with the employer.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution is advantageous, but not a must.
