Job summary

Deutsche Bahn is seeking a site-based Civil Engineering professional to provide supervision and oversee project delivery in Ireland. You will monitor construction activities, ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards, and support teams coordinating contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation review, risk escalation, and participation in testing, handover and close-out activities across complex civil projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in construction supervision or site engineering on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of construction processes, QA, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide site-based engineering and construction supervision during project delivery.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with contract requirements, specs, quality standards and regulations.
• Support project teams in coordinating contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Assist in health, safety, environmental and quality requirements on site.
• Review construction records, method statements, inspection reports and technical documentation.
• Identify and escalate technical, commercial and programme-related risks and issues.
• Initiate inspection, witnessing and acceptance of works.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and close-out activities.
• Prepare progress reports and contribute to project performance reporting.
• Participate in site meetings and provide technical advice to stakeholders.
