Job summary

Deutsche Bahn, through DB Engineering & Consulting, seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to support the commercial management of construction and infrastructure projects. You will prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, oversee procurements and contract administration, and liaise with project stakeholders.

The role requires a degree in a related discipline and experience in rail/infrastructure projects, with strong numerical and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience on infrastructure, rail, transportation, utilities, or major civil engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
  • Understanding cost management, procurement and contract administration.
  • Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in common project management software tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Professional membership or progression toward chartership is advantageous.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client representatives.
