Job summary

ProSource Group are recruiting a Resident Engineer to join the Cork site team. You will supervise civil and structural works, monitor progress, and report on quality and compliance while liaising with clients, authorities and the design team.

The role requires experience supervising major infrastructure works, strong reporting skills and a solid understanding of health & safety regulations. A Safe Pass and standard safety qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ relevant site experience supervising civil infrastructure works.
• Experience assisting with construction contract administration.
• Good knowledge of construction health and safety legislation.
• Current Safe Pass and other safety qualifications.
• Strong written communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence working as part of a site team and using standard computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil and structural works to ensure they meet the Employer’s Requirements.
• Inspect, measure and report on the quality and progress of works on site.
• Monitor the contractor’s delivery against design information, instructions and programme requirements.
• Review method statements and engineering proposals for compliance with the Works Requirements.
• Assist the Employer’s Representative with technical queries and contract administration.
• Prepare regular progress reports and maintain a comprehensive site diary and records.
• Liaise with the contractor, design team, client, local authority and other stakeholders.
