Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their civil engineering team in South Dublin. You will lead project elements, oversee site works and liaise with clients and subcontractors to meet deadlines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years’ experience, and a valid driver’s license. A company vehicle, laptop/phone and full professional engagement are included.

• Managing parts of projects.

• Ensuring Packages meet specifications, budgets and timelines.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and QSs.
• Providing technical advice and solving on-site problems.
• Preparing site reports and paperwork.
• Coordinating material orders and pricing with quantity surveyors.
• Adhering to health, safety and sustainability policies.

Job description

Senior Engineer with strong leadership skills required to join one of Ireland’s leading Civil Engineering Contractors. You should be able to work alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines. The successful Engineer will be working across large scale residential projects in South Dublin.

Role:

• Managing parts of projects
• Overseeing works
• Undertaking surveys
• Setting out sites
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
• Supervising contracted staff
• Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
• Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
• Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
• Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materials
• Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
