Job summary

The Talbot Group invites applications for a Social Care Worker within their Disability Service. The role provides support to residents and works as part of an on-floor duty team, with duties including helping residents with daily plans and goals, and coordinating shifts when on duty.

Applicants must hold a Level 7 or higher CORU-registered qualification and have experience in residential or related services. The offer includes training and development, annual leave, and diverse staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality assurance practice and its application to service provision.
• Experience working in a residential, respite or day service setting with persons with intellectual disability.
• Knowledge of Person Centred Planning.
• Knowledge of National Disability Standards (HIQA) and relevant policies.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key worker for named Resident where appropriate.
• Provide support to residents with their daily plan and individual goals.
• Support residents with living skills including cooking, cleaning and laundry.
• Coordinate shift duties on floor and supervise other staff as required.
• Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Team to deliver resident-focused services.
