Job summary

Cpl Group in East Cork seeks a dedicated Person in Charge (PIC) to lead intellectual disability residential services. You will oversee centres, ensure HIQA-compliant, person-centred care and work with families and teams to empower individuals to live with dignity and independence.

The role requires a Nursing Degree with NMBI registration or a Level 8 NFQ in Social Care, plus at least 3 years of management experience in health or social care and a relevant NFQ management qualification.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree or Level 8 NFQ in Social Care as stated in the candidate requirements.
• Minimum 3 years’ management experience in health or social care.
• A recognised management qualification (Level 6 NFQ or higher).
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, person-centred planning, and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of residential services in line with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007.
• Drive delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Inspire, support, and develop staff teams to thrive.
• Build strong relationships with families, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders.
• Champion best practice in care planning, risk management, and continuous improvement.
