Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is seeking an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) to lead high-quality residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities in East Cork. You will oversee centres, drive person-centred care, and ensure HIQA-compliant operation, with a focus on dignity and independence.

You will lead teams, support staff development, and build strong relationships with families and stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree with NMBI registration or eligibility.
• Level 8 degree in Social Care.
• Minimum 3 years’ management experience in health or social care.
• Recognition of management qualification (minimum Level 6 NFQ).
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, person‑centred planning and clinical governance.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of residential services in line with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007.
• Drive the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Inspire, support and develop staff teams to thrive.
• Build strong relationships with families, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
• Champion best practice in care planning, risk management and continuous improvement.
