Job summary

Astatine Limited in Ireland seeks an in-house solicitor to join our growing energy projects team. You’ll work across land acquisition, development, construction, financing and operations, becoming a trusted partner to Development, Commercial, Engineering and Finance colleagues.

You’ll bring Irish solicitor qualification with about 3–5 years’ PQE, experience in real estate, commercial contracts, construction or project finance, and a practical, commercially minded approach to risk and deal

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in Ireland with approximately 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in respected private practice firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Experience in real estate, commercial contracts, construction or project finance, with interest in broader expertise across these areas.
• Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiation skills, with the ability to work through complex issues and communicate advice clearly.
• Some exposure to corporate transactions, fundraising, debt financing or M&A.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate land agreements, leases, easements, wayleaves and other project origination and development documentation.
• Support title reviews, due diligence and site assembly for renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
• Advise on planning, permitting and grid connection across the project lifecycle, coordinating with external advisers as needed.
• Support project finance, corporate funding, investor documentation, due diligence and M&A activity.
• Provide practical, commercially balanced legal advice to colleagues across departments.
• Develop and refine legal templates, processes and ways of working, while managing external advisers.
