Job summary

Nearform, Ireland-based, is seeking a Technical Director to lead delivery across multiple projects within our Delivery Management function. You will drive technical vision, engage CIOs/CTOs, and guide teams to deliver innovative, scalable solutions in a remote-first environment.

You will mentor senior developers, oversee project execution, and manage financials while championing DEI, sustainability, and open-source initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technical leadership experience, ideally within consulting, SaaS, or large-scale digital transformation projects.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, cloud platforms, and modern development practices.
• Strong track record guiding technical decisions on complex, high-impact projects.
• Experience leading pre-sales, discovery, and solution design discussions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Consultative mindset aligning business needs with technical strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a clear technical vision and architecture for projects.
• Lead client engagement, discovery workshops, and tailored solution proposals.
• Oversee technical execution, ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Foster talent development and manage project staffing and mentoring across teams.
• Oversee financial aspects of projects, including burn-down and resource allocation.
• Engage in industry thought leadership and open-source collaboration.
