Would you like the opportunity to combine technical delivery leadership, senior client engagement and business development, while helping shape the growth and strategy of a global technology services organisation?

An established global digital engineering and technology services organisation is seeking a Senior Director of Technical Delivery Management to join its Dublin leadership team.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role, partnering closely with teams across delivery, account management, product, architecture, consulting and engineering. You will take ownership of major technology engagements, particularly within Financial Services, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while ensuring successful delivery of complex programmes.

The role combines strategic leadership, technical depth, commercial awareness and client engagement, with a strong focus on growing existing relationships, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the wider business development and pre-sales lifecycle.

A strong technical background across software engineering, development and/or solution architecture, combined with commercial and strategic leadership capability is a must have for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex technology programmes, ensuring quality, timelines, budgets and client satisfaction.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, building long-term relationships and identifying opportunities to expand and develop accounts.
• Partner with account and commercial teams to support business development, client growth and new opportunity generation.
• Contribute to pre-sales activity including proposals, solution approaches, delivery roadmaps, estimates and statements of work.
• Set clear expectations across clients and internal teams, providing strong governance, transparency and delivery leadership.
• Build effective relationships across engineering, architecture, product, design and business teams.
• Lead multiple workstreams across programme planning, resourcing, financial management, implementation and delivery.
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks, escalating critical issues where required.
• Drive continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation across delivery teams.
• Coach and develop senior technology and delivery professionals, building high-performing teams.

Key Requirements

• 15+ years’ experience in technology, with at least 10 years’ experience in the Irish market.
• Significant experience in technology delivery leadership, with a proven track record delivering large-scale and complex programmes.
• Strong technical background across software engineering, development and/or solution architecture, combined with commercial and strategic leadership capability.
• Extensive experience within Banking / Financial Services, ideally involving digital or mobile banking platforms.
• Strong understanding of open banking APIs, payments, mobile wallets and modern financial technology ecosystems.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory and security frameworks, including PSD2, GDPR and PCI-DSS.
• Experience with modern cloud/serverless architectures supporting digital applications.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships from technical teams through to C-suite stakeholders.
• Demonstrable business development and commercial experience, including growing client relationships, identifying opportunities and supporting or leading pre-sales activity.
• Ability to translate strategic business objectives into practical technical and delivery strategies.
• Experience managing multiple complex programmes across geographically distributed teams.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• A strong coaching and mentoring mindset, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
