Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Platform Engineer (P4) based in Ireland to design and operate scalable cloud environments powering data science and ML workflows. This mid-senior role blends hands-on AWS with strong consulting and client interaction in a remote Europe setting.

You will own infrastructure by leveraging Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling, while collaborating with data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver robust platform solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in cloud/platform engineering or related field.
• Led at least one major infrastructure project from design to delivery.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Practical Kubernetes and Linux system knowledge.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for IaC.
• Scripting and automation with Python and Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures, scalability, reliability, and infra management.
• Experience supporting data-intensive workloads is highly relevant.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
• Fluent English written and spoken (C1).
• Self-organization and autonomy in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud environments across AWS and Azure, with a focus on AWS.
• Develop platform infrastructure to support data science and ML workflows, e.g., Databricks/Posit.
• Automate development and deployment using modern CI/CD tooling.
• Define and manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Configure and optimize Kubernetes-based environments and Linux systems.
• Develop automation tooling using Python and Bash.
• Lead or significantly contribute to technical solutions from architecture to delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into platform solutions.
• Advise clients on cloud architecture, DevOps practices, security, and long-term platform strategy.
• Work predominantly on one client engagement at a time and share knowledge internally.
