Job summary

Twilio in Ireland is hiring a Software Engineer (L2) in a remote-first setup. You will join the Voice Connectivity Trust team to design, implement, and operate real-time voice services, working across the full SDLC from requirements to deployment.

You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and AI tools to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet customer needs and performance goals. A strong background in Java and distributed systems is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
Hands-on experience building large-scale distributed applications on JVM-based technologies.
Experience designing RESTful services and event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS).
Strong CI/CD and familiarity with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack).
Excellent written communication and ability to document technical designs clearly.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
