Job summary

Oak Street Health seeks a Staff Engineer for Salesforce and Data Engineering to bridge Salesforce CRM with cloud data platforms. You’ll architect and deploy scalable data pipelines (Azure Databricks) and lead Salesforce integrations, APIs, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities include modernizing on‑prem to cloud pipelines, implementing CI/CD, and mentoring engineers while ensuring PHI/PII compliance and governance across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Software Development, Cloud Tech, or Data Engineering
• 5-7+ years of hands-on Data Engineering with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, ADLS
• Advanced PySpark development, DataFrames, joins, performance tuning
• Experience with Delta Live Tables pipelines
• Strong SQL and relational DB background with migration to Python/PySpark
• 3+ years Salesforce custom development (Apex, Visualforce, LWC, Flow)
• Strong Medallion Architecture understanding across data layers
• Experience with IaC, Pipeline as Code, YAML/JSON
• Experience CI/CD in DevOps across cloud data and Salesforce
• Certifications preferred: Salesforce Platform Developer II / Integration Architect / Data Cloud; Databricks or Azure Data Engineer
• Strong analytical abilities and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and deployment of scalable Azure Databricks data pipelines
• Drive enterprise architecture and custom development across Salesforce platform (LWC, Visualforce, Apex, Flows)
• Architect and maintain robust enterprise integrations between Salesforce, ADLS, and cloud/on‑prem environments
• Modernize legacy on‑prem SQL pipelines into cloud-native Databricks solutions using YAML/JSON/configuration patterns
• Establish DevOps & CI/CD standards across Salesforce and Data Engineering domains (IaC)
• Define platform strategy and collaborate with IT and BI to improve data quality and reduce technical debt
• Set technical standards and mentor engineers; provide escalation for complex production issues
• Lead Medicare and payer data initiatives with PHI/PII compliance and regulatory standards
• Create and maintain enterprise documentation on platform architecture and data models
• Other duties as assigned
