Jobgether SRL is partnering with an Ireland-based opportunity for a Middle Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails). You will own backend systems powering an AI-enabled content platform, delivering features end-to-end from conception through production while ensuring reliability and scalability.

You will work in an international, distributed team with a strong focus on code quality and AI-driven engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of professional backend or full-stack experience.
• Proven hands-on Ruby on Rails production experience.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Daily practical experience with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code) for planning, coding, and reviewing outputs.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering, maintainable code, debugging, and production apps.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Proven track record delivering reliable features to production.
• Excellent written and spoken English in an international distributed team.
• Independent, proactive work style with ownership and curiosity.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and develop backend systems within the Content Platform ecosystem.
• Deliver features end-to-end from planning to production and maintenance.
• Apply AI-first development approaches to accelerate delivery and quality.
• Refactor and improve code and architecture to aid AI tooling access.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and share technical knowledge.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for faster, reliable deployments.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to meet business needs.
• Support production operations and incident investigation.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in workflows and engineering practices.
