Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Founding Senior Software Engineer based in Ireland. You will architect and build AI-powered platforms, shaping technical architecture and product direction.

You will own end-to-end features, integrate AI capabilities, and deliver scalable systems with strong API and data processing foundations. You will work closely with a lean engineering team, enjoy significant ownership, and influence long-term tech decisions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience building, deploying, and scaling production-grade software systems.
• Deep expertise in at least one technical area, with willingness to expand across the stack.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, with understanding of high-concurrency systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, reliability, performance, and scalable solutions.
• Expertise in Data Engineering, Distributed Systems, AI/ML, or Backend Engineering with practical production impact.
• Product-focused mindset with rapid feature delivery and user feedback incorporation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering and stakeholders.
• Autonomous, proactive problem-solver contributing to engineering direction.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop core software systems with a focus on scalability.
• Own end-to-end feature development from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into production workflows (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, agents).
• Build scalable APIs, backend services, and interfaces ensuring reliability and security.
• Design and improve data processing systems, distributed architectures, and real-time pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Deliver features rapidly, gather feedback, and iterate on product functionality.
• Contribute to engineering standards and infrastructure decisions.
