Job summary

PGIM Ireland is seeking a Manager, Reinsurance Operations based in Ireland, with hybrid/remote options. You will design and lead the operational framework for Bermuda captives and support treaty onboarding, settlements, reporting, and retrocession management.

You will work with actuarial, finance, legal and IT teams to ensure compliant, efficient operations across the reinsurance lifecycle, including BAU and continuous improvement in a lean environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in life insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience designing, implementing, or improving operational processes.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance structures including internal reinsurance and retrocession.
• Experience in regulated environments with governance expectations.
• Excellent organizational, project management, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Agile experience is a plus, with ability to work leanly and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build phase: design and lead implementation of core reinsurance and retrocession operational processes.
• Establish procedures, controls and documentation in line with internal standards.
• Define infrastructure, data flows and operating procedures for reinsurance activities.
• Coordinate readiness for new treaties, system changes and reporting requirements.
• Lead ongoing administration of reinsurance and retrocession arrangements.
• Coordinate settlements, reconciliations and investigative follow‑ups with third parties.
