Job summary

Prudential Financial is seeking a Manager, Reinsurance Operations based in Ireland with a preference for Letterkenny. The role supports Bermuda-based affiliates and involves building and running the operational framework for life reinsurance, including treaties, settlements, and reporting.

You will work with actuarial, finance, legal and IT to ensure compliant operations across the reinsurance lifecycle, from onboarding to retrocession management, in a hybrid setup with some remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, actuarial science, finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of life insurance or reinsurance operations experience.
• Knowledge of reinsurance structures and retrocession to external parties.
• Experience designing or improving operational processes in build-out/transformation projects.
• Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implement core reinsurance and retrocession operational processes for captives.
• Establish procedures, controls and documentation aligned with internal standards.
• Define infrastructure, data flows, and operating procedures for reinsurance operations.
• Coordinate readiness for new treaties, amendments, system changes, and reporting requirements.
• Support integration of operations with actuarial valuation, pricing, finance and risk management.
• Prepare and review operational information for quarterly/annual reporting and audits.
• Monitor issues, dependencies and controls; escalate material risks as needed.
• Continuously improve operational processes for scalability, data quality, and transparency.
• Serve as subject matter expert on assigned reinsurance operations.
