Job summary

Paddle's IT team in Ireland is seeking an IT Manager to lead a lean team of engineers, own identity, devices, and service delivery, and drive strategy, budgets, and vendor relationships. This role blends hands-on delivery with people leadership, using data, automation, and AI to elevate IT performance.

You will collaborate with security and cross-functional partners to implement baseline controls, incident response, and a strong operating rhythm that supports the business globally.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a technical IT team and developing people as well as delivering outcomes.
• Strong systems administration and infrastructure fundamentals; able to act as escalation point.
• Hands-on experience running an IAM platform in production, ideally Okta, including lifecycle automation and integrations.
• Deep knowledge of macOS and Apple hardware in a corporate/enterprise environment.
• Interest in AI and automation to improve IT operations with concrete examples.
• Budget and vendor management experience, including negotiating terms.
• Experience running IT projects end-to-end, from scoping to delivery and stakeholder reporting.
• Understanding of core security and compliance fundamentals.
• Clear communication adaptable for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capable of calm, clear leadership under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a lean team of IT engineers, setting priorities and unblocking complex issues.
• Own Okta identity and access management across the business, including lifecycle and integrations.
• Manage macOS and Apple devices across the organization with secure, low-friction configurations.
• Drive data, automation, and AI adoption in IT operations to reduce manual toil and speed support.
• Set and own IT operating rhythms: tooling, SLAs, and performance metrics.
• Oversee IT budget and vendor portfolio, ensuring cost efficiency for a multi-department SaaS estate.
• Implement baseline security and resilience practices with the Security team on cross-cutting issues.
• Act as the conduit between IT and the rest of the business to translate needs into capabilities.
