Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to fill a Head of Infrastructure and DevOps role based in Ireland. You will lead DevOps and Infrastructure teams responsible for the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of staging and production environments.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise across SRE, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and IaC. You will hire, coach, and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team while shaping engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading DevOps or infrastructure teams.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, IaC, and modern deployment strategies.
• Experience designing large-scale, highly available cloud apps.
• Data-driven leadership with metrics to guide decisions.
• Strong cross-region and time-zone collaboration.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps and Infrastructure teams responsible for critical infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, reliability, and resilience across environments.
• Establish SRE and DevOps best practices to improve performance.
• Reduce production issues through rigorous CI/CD testing and automation.
• Maintain 99.9% availability for CI/CD and staging infrastructure.
• Drive toward 99.99% product availability with resilient architectures.
• Accelerate delivery by reducing lead times in CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and IaC practices.
• Strengthen secure development environments and governance.
• Lead global, multi-region infrastructure teams and hiring.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and career development.
• Collaborate with neighboring teams and align with org goals.
• Use metrics to evaluate performance and justify decisions.
