Job summary

Jobgether’s partner company in Ireland seeks an Engineering Manager to lead software teams at the intersection of AI, software, and logistics. You’ll coach engineers, own delivery, and partner with Product on roadmaps while maintaining a hands-on technical role.

You’ll shape AI-enabled development practices, scale teams, and work with customers to ensure practical outcomes in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing software engineers with hiring, coaching, performance management, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering delivery, ensuring teams ship high-quality software predictably with clear commitments and standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineers through one-to-ones, career development, feedback, and performance management.
• Own engineering hiring, including defining the hiring bar and interviewing candidates.
• Partner with Product to shape roadmaps, negotiate scope, and protect teams from churn.
• Improve AI-led engineering workflows and establish guardrails and review standards.
• Stay technically involved through code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Engage with customers (freight forwarders, airlines) to understand problems firsthand.
• Drive improvements in team systems and processes using data.
• Promote consistent engineering practices across distributed teams.
