Job summary

Reap is seeking an Engineering Manager, AI, to lead the engineering effort to make AI production-ready across Reap. You will own the AI platform layer and drive adoption of agentic systems across teams.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on leadership role requiring setting direction, code reviews, and close collaboration with Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Support to deliver safe, scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Experience designing, deploying, and driving production AI/agentic systems.
Hands-on with modern AI stack: LLMs, Python/TypeScript, and orchestration tools.
Deep understanding of LLM failure modes, guardrails, and auditability.
Strong systems thinking and ability to translate workflows into buildable solutions.
Knowledge of data classification, access control, and audit in regulated environments.
High standards for code quality, reliability, and peer review.
Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
Main stack expertise: TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, AWS.

Responsibilities

Own the AI platform layer and enable safe production use across teams.
Lead the redesign of agentic data layer and workflows with governance.
Drive adoption of agentic systems and ensure auditability and security.
Hire, grow, and lead a senior engineering team and report impact.
Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Support to ship scalable AI solutions.
Set technical direction and participate in code/design reviews.
