Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is seeking experienced Social Care Workers for relief and ongoing agency opportunities across Kildare County. You will provide person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, promoting dignity, independence, and community inclusion.

This flexible agency work offers competitive rates and the chance to gain experience across residential services. Sponsorship is not available; applicants must have full eligibility to work in Ireland and CORU

Qualifications

• A recognised Social Care qualification meeting registration requirements.
• Current CORU registration as a Social Care Worker, where required for placement.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and HIQA standards.
• Experience with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Promote dignity, independence, choice and community inclusion.
• Support individualised plans, daily living activities and personal care.
• Work with families, advocates and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support individuals with complex needs and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Manage risks and report safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Support safe medication practices in line with training and policies.
• Follow HIQA standards and organisational procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and provide guidance where required.

Essential Requirements

• A recognised Social Care qualification meeting the requirements for registration as a Social Care Worker in Ireland.
• Current CORU registration as a Social Care Worker, where required for placement.
• Relevant experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Experience working within residential, disability or high-support services.
• Knowledge and understanding of person-centred and rights-based approaches to care.
• Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and HIQA standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Full clean driving licence with the ability to drive manual vehicles on Irish roads.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Garda Vetting or willingness to complete the process.
• Police clearance where applicable.
