Job summary

Kids Inc. in Dublin is seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join our part-time, permanent team at multiple locations. You will support children's learning through play-based activities, observations, and daily routines, helping to create a safe, engaging environment for families.

With over 25 years of experience in childcare, Kids Inc. offers education assistance, development opportunities, a supportive workplace culture, and Garda Vetting where applicable.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or DCEDIY-recognised qualification.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Positive, reliable and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, develop and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Creating a safe, caring and engaging environment for all children.

With over 25 years of experience in childcare, Kids Inc. is one of Ireland's leading providers of Early Years and Afterschool Care. We operate over 70 Breakfast and Afterschool Care programmes nationwide, alongside 5 Creche and Preschool services, supporting children and families across Ireland.

We are currently seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis.

Foley Street, Dublin 1

Rathfarnham, Dublin 16

Rathmines, Dublin 6

Working Hours

1:30pm/2pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

About The Role

As an Early Years Educator, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning and development, creating enriching experiences, and helping to build a warm and welcoming environment for children and their families.

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating a safe, caring, and engaging environment for all children
• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based experiences
• Observing children's interests and development, documenting progress, and planning activities that build on their learning
• Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language development
• Supervising and engaging with children during meals and daily routines
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, guardians, and colleagues
• Maintaining accurate observations and records in line with programme requirements
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised environment in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations

What We're Looking For

• QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education, or a qualification recognised by the DCEDIY
• Fluent spoken and written English
• A positive, reliable, and professional attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working in a Creche or Early Years setting
• First Aid training
• Manual Handling training
• Food Safety training
