Job summary

Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SVP) in Bundoran, Co. Donegal, is seeking a General Operative on a permanent part‑time basis (30 hours/week). The role provides relief cover to the Ozanam House Residential Unit, supporting residents and maintaining a safe, caring environment across day and night shifts.

The ideal candidate will have a Leaving Certificate, QQI Level 5 in healthcare, and strong empathy with the elderly. Garda Vetting required; candidates must be available across 4 days in 7.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Leaving Certificate required.
• QQI Level 5 Healthcarequalification preferred.
• First Aid Training an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Relief cover for Ozanam House Residential Unit staff, including sick/annual leave coverage.
• Support residents’ physical, emotional and intellectual well‑being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment; assist with daily care tasks.
• Work flexible day shifts and rotate to night shifts as required.
