Job summary

SVP in Dublin is seeking an Early Years Educator for Ozanam House Community Resource Centre. This permanent part-time role (22.5 hours per week) runs Monday to Friday from 9am to 2pm, supporting high-quality early childhood care and education in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the community or voluntary sector is an advantage.
• Experience of working with volunteers and students is an advantage.

The Role

We are currently looking to recruit an Early Years Educator (Permanent Part Time 22.5hrs per week; Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm) to join our Children & Family team in Ozanam House Commuinity Resource Centre, Dublin. The Early Years Educator role is to support the provision of high-quality early childhood care and education while ensuring a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children. Working closely with Lead Early Years Educators, the manager, and other team members, the Early Years Educator plays a key role in supporting individual children and promoting their overall well-being. The role involves assisting with the planning and implementation of age-appropriate, stimulating activities that foster each child's natural development, in line with Siolta, the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education, and Aistear, the National Curriculum Framework. All duties are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of Ozanam House Early Learning Centre and relevant regulatory standards to ensure the highest level of care and safety. Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required

Qualifications Candidates must have a relevant third level qualification with experience in the field of Early Childhood Care & Education as follows:

• QQI Level 5 or higher in Early Childhood Care (or equivalent and recognised by the DCEDIY) with at least 1 years of professional experience of working directly with pre-school children in an early years setting
• Experience Good knowledge of underlying principles in early years education including Aistear and Siolta
• Experience of working with this age group in a similar setting
• Experience of working in the community or voluntary sector is an advantage
• Experience of working with volunteers and students is an advantage

Knowledge and Skills Candidates must also have lots of initiative, enthusiasm and an interest in supporting and empowering young children and families. Strong communication skills.
