Brightwater Recruitment is seeking a Regulatory Accountant to join its finance team in Ireland. The role reports to the CFO and owns regulatory reporting, statutory compliance and financial controls within a global tech organisation with a regulated payments entity.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum three years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting expertise.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting, ideally within a regulated financial services or payments environment.
• Familiarity with CBI reporting, PSD2 or EBA guidelines is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to process improvement and technology.

Responsabilités

• Lead statutory reporting, financial statement preparation and external audit coordination.
• Own regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with Central Bank of Ireland regulations.
• Monitor capital requirements and oversee safeguarding processes.
• Support Central Bank inspections and regulatory requests.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimisation and AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced teams to assess the financial and regulatory impact of business changes.

We are hiring a Regulatory Accountant to join the finance team of a leading global technology organisation with a regulated payments entity in Ireland. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of regulatory reporting, statutory compliance and financial controls within a dynamic, international business. This role will offer flexible hybrid workig and is initially being offered as a one year contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage US GAAP financial reporting, month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead statutory reporting, financial statement preparation and external audit coordination.
• Own regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with Central Bank of Ireland regulations.
• Monitor capital requirements and oversee safeguarding processes.
• Support Central Bank inspections and regulatory requests.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimisation and AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced teams to assess the financial and regulatory impact of business changes.
