Job summary

Alliedtalent is recruiting a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist for a privately owned, international investment firm in Dublin. You will own the accounting and reporting for a key entity, with responsibility for monthly closes, reconciliations and VAT, while supporting ESG reporting and process improvements.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will interact with auditors and tax advisors and help drive data integrity across finance and investment teams in a fast-paced, high-volume

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with Big Four training and exposure to investment accounting and reporting.
• Capacity to deliver accurate financial and management accounts within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job description

On behalf of a privately owned, international investment firm in Dublin, we are looking to hire a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist.

Our client manages a multi-billion euro portfolio of assets across bonds, equities, alternative funds and renewable energy/infrastructure assets. Due to continued growth of the business, they are now looking to strengthen their finance department with a Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the accounting and reporting for one of the multi-billion euro corporate entities, while contributing to the wider team's output. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with real scope to make it your own.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly financial and management accounts for your entity, ensuring a complete, accurate and timely set of books
• Perform bank and system reconciliations, intercompany reporting, forecasting, accruals/prepayments and VAT returns
• Liaise directly with external auditors and tax advisors
• Take responsibility for ESG reporting and contribute to developing the ESG approach across the wider investment portfolio
• Work with and help improve internal systems and processes (SAP and Aladdin), documenting procedures along the way
• Build strong working relationships across finance, treasury and investment teams

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant, Big Four trained, with exposure to investment accounting and reporting
• Circa 3-5 years PQE (some flexibility for the right candidate)
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a busy, high-volume environment
• A natural problem solver, happy to dig into imperfect systems and fix what you find
• Inquisitive, self-starting and determined, with good judgement and a high level of integrity
• Strong Excel and data skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, large data sets)
