Zohorecruit is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy Procedure Room in Limerick, Ireland. This full-time role offers permanent contract with options for part-time hours. You will work within a leading hospital, delivering endoscopy nursing care in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, preparation for procedures, documentation, infection control, and collaboration with consultants and the MDT. Registration with NMBI and ongoing CPD are required.

Qualifications

• Registered, or eligible for registration, with the NMBI.
• Minimum of one year post-registration experience in acute care nursing.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD.
• Endoscopy and/or flexible cystoscopy experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.

Job Description

We are currently hiring a Registered Nurse – Endoscopy Procedure Room for a leading hospital in limerick, Ireland.

Job Typ e: Full-Time/Part-Time Hours Considered (37.5 Hours per Week) | Permanent Contract

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic and flexible cystoscopy procedures.

Undertake clinical assessment and management of patients within the agreed care pathway, where appropriate.

Escalate and discuss patient concerns with the Consultant, Anaesthetist or Senior Nursing Management as required.

Ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation of patient information before, during and after procedures.

Promote a patient-centred approach to care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and relevant healthcare services.

Prepare patients for procedures, provide appropriate information and address any questions or concerns.

Maintain effective infection prevention and control practices in line with hospital policies and clinical guidelines.

Provide education and support to patients, families and carers according to identified needs.

Maintain knowledge of the specific care requirements associated with the relevant clinical speciality.

Deliver nursing care to the highest professional standard in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and clinical guidelines.

Use clinical equipment safely and effectively and report any faults or malfunctions promptly.

Respond efficiently and appropriately to emergency situations.

Assist with ordering clinical supplies and ensure their appropriate and cost-effective use.

Maintain a safe, clean and effective clinical environment.

Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of care protocols and clinical pathways.

Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.

Contribute to the development and monitoring of measurable standards of care and remain accountable for maintaining those standards.

Maintain awareness of national, professional and local quality standards relevant to nursing practice, including JCI, HIQA and JAG requirements.

Requirements

Registered, or eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)

Minimum of one year’s post-registration experience in acute care nursing

Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development (CPD)

Previous nursing experience in Endoscopy and/or Flexible Cystoscopy procedures is desirable
