Job summary

The Orchard Care Group seeks a Registered Nurse (NMBI registered) to fill the position of Person in Charge for its nurse-led disability service in Rosslare, Co. Wexford. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in management and experience with individuals with disabilities.

You will lead shifts, develop care plans, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor staff. Essential criteria include a nursing degree (level 7+), valid NMBI registration, and a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care
• NMBI registration (valid)
• Nursing degree (minimum Level 7) with driving licence and access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on shift when on duty in the service.
• Assist in assessing individuals’ needs and developing individualised care plans.
• Ensure implementation of care interventions and monitor outcomes.
• Assist in training and orienting new care team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care plans and assessments.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and effective communication.
