Job summary

Orchard Residential in Ireland seeks a Registered Nurse (NMBI) with at least 3 years of management experience to lead our new nurse-led disability service in Rosslare, Co. Wexford.

The role requires driving standards of care, strong governance, and the ability to work autonomously within regulatory requirements. You will supervise care teams, oversee care plans, training, and documentation, participate in on-call duties, and contribute to service improvements while supporting residents and staff

Qualifications

• A relevant nursing degree (minimum Level 7) in Nursing.
• Valid NMBI registration.
• Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
• Level 6 Management qualification (company may support attainment).
• Proven track record of managing a service with quality and regulatory compliance.
• Full current driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on shift when on duty in the service.
• Participate in direct care following care plans and procedures.
• Assess needs and develop individualised care plans.
• Ensure implementation of care interventions and monitor outcomes.
• Assist in training and orientation of new care team members.
• Organise and facilitate training programs for the team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, assessments and records.
• Monitor documentation completion by team members.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and regular audits.
• Promote a collaborative work environment and effective communication.
• Be flexible with hours and participate in the On-Call support system.
