Job summary

The Orchard Care Group seeks a Person in Charge for a nurse-led service in Co Roscommon. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with NMBI registration and at least three years in a management/supervisory role within health or social care.

Responsibilities include leading on shift, ensuring care plans are followed, and maintaining compliance with DH Regulations and HIQA standards. On-call duties and ongoing team development are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least 3 years management experience
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities preferred
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Strong understanding of health and social care regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Take lead on shift when on duty in the service
• Provide direct care following care plans and procedures
• Develop individualised care plans and assess needs
• Ensure implementation of care interventions and monitor outcomes
• Assist in training and onboarding of new team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely records
• Support quality improvement initiatives and audits
• Promote collaborative teamwork and effective communication
